Remote Working Postdoc / Fellowship @ RAPID Institute

The AIChE’s RAPID Manufacturing Institute has an opening for a RAPID Fellow (a postdoc) as a key technical contributor to a DOE sponsored project called “Physical Property Data and Models in Support of Bioprocessing Separation Technologies for Organic Acids Separation.” RAPID is leading the project in collaboration with Texas Tech, Siemens Technology, Siemens PSE, and Argonne National Lab. The main technical areas for this position include thermodynamic modelling, property estimate, and bioprocess eTEA (technoeconomic analysis (TEA) and life cycle assessment (LCA)).

It position is remote but the employee must be in the USA. Co-location with one of the project partners is also possible.

The position requires a PhD in chemical engineering or a closely related field from an accredited university, and the posting notes that “Experience using commercial process simulation and modeling software (e.g. Aspen Plus, Chemcad, gPROMS, Pro/II, etc.) and other custom modeling environments” is preferred.

Check the full posting for more information, and as always, be sure to mention that you heard about it on PSEcommunity.org in your cover letter.
