PhD@NTNU in Markets for Zero-Carbon Energy Systems
A new PhD position has been announced in the The Department of Electric Energy at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Markets for Zero-Carbon Energy Systems (277526). From the posting, the position “will contribute to this development by researching current and potential market designs for zero-carbon energy systems. The work will build upon theoretical and simulation-based models developed at NTNU and MIT. As different carbon-free energy carriers are expected to be highly connected in the future, the scope of the research is not limited to electric power but could also analyze markets for other energy carriers.” Candidates must have a Master’s degree in “electric power engineering, energy systems, economics, physics, cybernetics, mathematics, operational analysis, or equivalent.” an English language skills as noted in the call.
The project is a part of the NTNU-MIT Energy Research Programme, which is a collaborative program between NTNU and MIT on addressing major issues in Energy across a wide range of disciplines. The primary supervisor at NTNU is Prof. Magnus Korpås at NTNU, co-supervised by collaborating partner Dr. Audun Botterud at the MIT Laboratory of Information and Decision Systems.
And as always, be sure to indicate that you heard about it on PSEcommunity.org in your cover letter.
