Call for Standards to be made at FOCAPD 2019

PSEcommunity.org is participating in the development of new standards to be formed around the way in which eco-Technoeconomic Analyses (eTEAs) are conducted within the chemical and energy process systems engineering community. In short, the project currently championed by the Systems & Control division of the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering, seeks to create an international standard for eTEAs that would enable cross-platform comparisons on a fair basis. This would involve setting standards for assumptions made during eTEAs such as financing parameters, supply chain details, analysis boundaries, definitions of key performance indicators, process conditions, regional considerations, reporting, and transparency.

On July 17, Prof. Thomas A. Adams II will be presenting a call for standards development at the Foundations for Computer Aided Process Design 2019 conference in Copper Mountain, Colorado, USA. His talk begins the official push for collection of stakeholder interest letters, as the next step in the process of creating an ISO standard. You can download slides from the talk at LAPSE:2019.0620. All interested persons are strongly encouraged to either attend to talk, get more information, and join the mailing list at the link below.
