Technology Director position @ AspenTech

AspenTech has announced an opening for a Technology Director of Pharma Solutions, located in Houston, TX and Bedford, MA. Responsibilities include “leading the development of next generation asset optimization solutions for Fortune 500 customers in the pharmaceutical industries.” The position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related disciplines, although advanced degrees are preferred. They are also looking for 10 or more years of experience in “the application, development, and delivery of  commercial technical software solutions for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, in the areas of manufacturing execution, process analytical technology, process modeling, procedural automation, or supply chain management” and 5 or “more years of experience managing software development teams, including remote team management”.

What You’ll Need:

Strong knowledge of contemporary pharma/biotech manufacturing processes, including understanding of validation requirements and GMP Working knowledge of multivariate analysis (chemometrics), modeling, and manufacturing execution software solutions used in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries for multivariate calibration, process development, design, optimization and monitoring Understanding of drug development, commercialization and manufacturing processes, including regulatory challenges, and relevant trends such as Digitalization, Data Integrity, Artificial Intelligence, Big data Experience with modern software development and architecture (e.g., microservices, database programming, desktop and cloud applications); understanding of cloud and SaaS solutions and the impact of these solutions in a validated environment.

  • Familiarity with Pharma 4.0 is a plus
