Postdoc @ University of Alberta

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the research group of Prof. Vinay Prasad in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Alberta. 

The candidate is expected to have a PhD in any area related to process systems engineering, with experience and/or interest in machine learning and its application to process systems. A background in chemical engineering and/or chemistry is desirable but not required. The candidate will work on projects related to fault diagnosis, soft sensing, monitoring and control, with applications in solar cell manufacturing and complex reacting systems. There are also opportunities to contribute to other projects in the group (e.g., image and spectroscopy-based soft sensors, AI/ML applications in quantum chemistry and in carbon capture) and to collaborate with and mentor graduate students.
