Postdoc at NTNU in Optimization, Design, and Modelling

Professor Magne Hillestad at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) writes to announce a postdoctoral vacancy in the Chemical Engineering department. The position is for 2 years and is in the area of process optimization, conceptual design, and process modelling.

The postdoc is expected to contribute to research involving the development of process concepts for power and heat generation with a low carbon footprint, including for offshore power generation. The job posting notes that “the position will require knowledge of process modelling, steady-state and dynamic simulation, and optimization of process systems. Chemical hydrogen production, water electrolysis and fuel cells are essential processes that need to be modeled and optimized.”

This project involves collaboration with SINTEF, one of the largest independent research organizations in Europe.

More information about the job can be found on JobbNorge, or contact Professor Magne Hillestad (magne.hillestad@ntnu.no) and research scientist Luca Riboldi (luca.riboldi@sintef.no)
