Research Engineer @ Cargill in Modelling and Simulation

Cargill, inc. is hiring a research engineer in the field of modelling and simulation. Among the roles of the position, the engineer would “develop and implement simulation and optimization models designed to answer questions on making our manufacturing and supply chains more effective.” The position is in the Engineering and Data Sciences team and located in Minneapolis, MN, USA.

The submitter adds that “the ideal candidate has good collaboration and communication skills, broad conceptual strength, and is eager to shape the application of numerical techniques in food and agricultural processes. The ideal candidate is also self-motivated, creative, and able to develop new approaches that address the unique and complex problems that we encounter. You will also have the opportunity to work with a variety of different businesses and to develop strong relationships in order to ensure realization of value.”

A bachelor’s degree is required, but a MaSC or PhD is preferred (Chemical Engineering is preferred). Expertise in “Aspen Plus, Aspen Custom Modeler, gPROMS, and AnyLogic” is also preferred.
